BARLEY  VEGGIE SOUP 




INGREDIENTS:

        BARLEY                 - 3tbsp
        WATER                  - 4 cups
        BEANS                  - 2
        CARROT                - 1
        CABBAGE              - 2 leaf
        CAULIFLOWER         - 3 flower
        ONION                 - 1
        GARLIC                - 2 pods
        JEERA POWDER      - 1/2 tsp
        GHEE                 - 1 tsp
        SALT                 - as per taste
        PEPPER POWDER   - as per taste
        CORIANDER leaf    - little
        SPRING ONION     - few (optional)

   # Soak barley for 1hr.
   # Pressure cook barley with water & salt and leave 5 whistles.
   # Chop all the veggies very finely.
   # Boil beans, carrot, cabbage & cauliflower (Preferably half cook).
   # Take little cooked barley & grind it to a smooth paste (for thickening soup).
   # Tawa on fire, add ghee let it melt.
   # Now add onion & garlic, fry well until raw smell leaves (colour shouldn't change).
   # Add in barley along with its water & all veggies (except coriander & spring onions).
   # Then add salt, pepper powder & jeera powder.
   # Let it boil well, and finally add coriander leaf & spring onions & serve hot.
