PALAK CHUTNEY




INGREDIENTS:

PALAK            - 350gms
CHANNA DHAL  - 1 tsp
URAD DHAL      - 1 tsp
CUMIN            - 1/2 tsp
GREEN CHILLI   - 2
GINGER           - 1/2 inch
SALT              - to taste
HING              - a pinch
COCONUT         - 1/4 cup
TAMARIND        - a small piece
OIL                - 1 tbsp
MUSTARD         - 1/4 tsp
CURRY LEAF      - few


# In a frying pan pour little oil and add channa dhal & urad dhal.
# After it turns golden in color add cumin, chilli & roughly chopped ginger.
# Fry till the ginger's raw smell leaves & then add hing.
# Finally add in the chopped palak leaves.
# Let the palak get cooked well.
# Put off the fire and then add in coconut, tamarind & salt and let it cool.
# Grind it smoothly with little water.
# Temper finally with mustard & curry leaves in oil.
# Serve it with idli or dosa.
