INGREDIENTS:

ILLAI PIRANDAI   - 20 
SMALL ONION     - 15
TOMATO (big)     - 1
CHANA DAL       - 3 tbsp
RED CHILLI        - 2
TAMARIND         - 1 small pc
CURRY LEAF      - 15
COCONUT         - 4 tbsp
SALT              - to taste
HING              - a pinch
GINGELLY OIL    - 3 tbsp 


# Except illai pirandai for other variety of pirandai, should remove the fiber on the sides. This recipe could be done with any Varity of pirandai.
# Illai pirandai doesn't have fiber, so could use it just like that.
# In a pan, pour little oil and add in roughly chopped pirandai, fry till the color changes & remove it from the pan and keep aside, let it cool.
# In the same pan pour remaining oil and add chana, chilli, tamarind, curry leaf, onion & tomato one by one and fry well.
# Add salt & hing and mix once and switch off the fire and finally add coconut.
# Now grind all together without water.
# Temper with mustard.
# Serve it with hot rice, idli or dosa.
